INDEX THE COMPANY
Index has been trading for nearly 32 years, the last 14 years under its present owner/management, and during this time has supplied services to the local and surrounding areas.

Index is a wholly owned private limited company, which has two directors: June and Ted Percival.

Index has successfully grown year on year, and has a culture of retaining profits within the company, resulting in an extremely strong balance sheet. Being in the enviable position of financial independence, Index can and does accept multiple contracts from both the M.o.D., and large Blue Chip Companies without any damage to its cashflow, profitability or balance sheet.

The policy of retaining profits has allowed Index the financial flexibility of instituting an on-going planned program of investment, and expansion from profits. As a result, Index is now able to offer the highest level of service and support to its clients, using the most up to date technology and continually training staff plus the luxury of the best business advice money can buy.

Index prides itself on the quality of its professional advisors, using Clarks Solicitors, (Corporate Solicitors with offices in the City), the Auditors and Accountants are Deloitte & Touche International (formally Touche Ross).

In addition, Index carries a Public Liability Insurance of £2 Million Pounds, and a Professional Indemnity Insurance of £2 Million Pounds, this has enabled us to tender, win and retain, large Government Contracts. We also operate within Local Government.

Index is currently undergoing ISO 9002 Accreditation.

THE GROWTH OF INDEX
Index's expansion has always been client led, initially it traded solely from High Street premises in Camberley, Surrey. Thirteen years ago an existing International client, who had offices in both Camberley, Surrey and Fleet, Hampshire, asked Index to source permanent and temporary staff for their Fleet offices. Index duly undertook the recruitment campaign on their behalf, obtaining offices in Fleet High Street on a very short term basis, however, it proved such a successful move that a long term lease was assigned and the Fleet Office was launched.

Shortly afterwards, another important client asked if we could find them Technical Staff, and Index Technical was born, the Industrial Index followed shortly after. Index Technical quickly developed into a National and then International Agency, Index Industrial operates Nationally and the Commercial Department has expanded to cover Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire and Berkshire, whilst still retaining its emphasis on local candidates for local companies. Index eBusiness was born in January 2001 with strong emphasis on providing technical expertise and services to the industry.

One of the Index Group of Companies real strengths is the quality and length of service of its employees, many have been employed by Index for in excess of eight years, in fact between them they have clocked up 175 years of direct industry experience. Each employee has been fully trained and is fully committed to delivering a high level of service and support to our clients. They come from diverse backgrounds and all have brought new perspective and ideas to the company. This wealth of experience has in turn, strengthened Index tremendously.

Index operates a policy of always promoting from within, and most employees have worked in several of Index's offices, this gives the teams great depth and breadth of client knowledge; industry experience; plus a continuity which is highly unusual in the industry. Index invests in extensive training, including at least one weeks residential course a year, and many single topic short courses, these are run both in-house and by specialist training companies.
